Pastor Joel began his call to serve LCC in May of 2011. He has served congregations in Iowa and Minnesota. Joel was born and raised in Belfield, ND and attended Concordia College, Moorhead, MN where he met Megan to whom he was married in 2003. Joel and Megan moved to Dubuque, IA where he attended Wartburg Theological Seminary. His passion for ministry is grounded in God’s calling that all people use their gifts in service of the Kingdom in whatever work they do. “Jesus gives us new life so that we do something with it, so let’s get to it!”
Joel enjoys reading the classics of literature, politics, good debate, and hunting with family.
